Of course that flight was on time and gone. Reno not the worst place to miss a flight so no big deal. Naturally being 2 hours early the next morning was rewarded with a broken airplane and a six hour delay. The airport, not as much fun as the MGM Grand.JPnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972382144120426476.post-80340189352755392902018-04-28T14:12:42.977-05:002018-04-28T14:12:42.977-05:00My Dad always said "It doesn't cost anyth...My Dad always said "It doesn't cost anything to be nice", but obviously nasty comes with a higher price tag. I quite honestly was dumbfounded... and still remember it clearly today - 20 years on. As we were all boarding the Chicago flight the cabin was suddenly effused with an unmistakable odor and a familiar face belonging, if memory serves, to the comedian Morey Amsterdam, appeared in the doorway. The large bag he was clutching bore the logo "Carnegie Delicatessen," and I heard him tell a fellow passenger he never leaves Manhattan without a stock of pastrami. Couldn't happen that way today, as both Amsterdam and the Carnegie Deli have vanished the scene.

Tom Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09641357239788323783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972382144120426476.post-19536178959362537432018-04-28T08:12:00.279-05:002018-04-28T08:12:00.279-05:00Wonderful life lesson and hilarious to boot. &quo...Wonderful life lesson and hilarious to boot. It needed a belt or hose, some fairly minor thing. The customer in front of me was berating the proprieter for what she perceived as shoddy workmanship. This went on for nearly 5 minutes and he quietly endured her wrath . She finally left and when I asked what I owed him for the work, he said no charge I was confused. He said don't worry she's paying for it.
