That Boswell was a both a bit of a scamp and also consumed with religious guilt over his transgressions makes him as interesting as the great subject of his biography.

Tom Evans

Tomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09641357239788323783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972382144120426476.post-21132364688842771872016-10-18T10:24:29.643-05:002016-10-18T10:24:29.643-05:00Read "Life of Johnson" first.Read "Life of Johnson" first.Neil Steinberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11468057838260476480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972382144120426476.post-50544183691564968612016-10-18T09:57:29.375-05:002016-10-18T09:57:29.375-05:00Inspiring stuff Neil. I just finished reading "Out of the Wreck I Rise." It was a great book that I think will help a lot of people! I also just finished reading a book on Einstein's letters. It was very enlightening. Currently, I'm reading "The Great American City: Chicago and the Enduring Neighborhood Effect." I love to read about Chicago neighborhoods.

LBLBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07023427375867309963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3972382144120426476.post-82967423219807541542016-10-18T09:22:34.541-05:002016-10-18T09:22:34.541-05:00Quotes very apt for our time indeed! And the fear of a no longer dangerous foe lurks behind almost every political utterance these days.

johntatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10088632798195131329noreply@blogger.com
