My new book, Every Goddamn Day: A Highly Selective, Definitely Opinionated, and Alternatingly Heartbreaking and Humorous Historical Tour of Chicago, is out. Here are my upcoming appearances around Chicago:
Dec. 7: Atlas Stationers, 227 W. Lake Street, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Regular readers know that I have long appreciated the marvelous shrine to office supplies and fine pens maintained by Therese and Don Schmidt, and they have returned the love by stepping in to address the lack of bookstores in the Loop by hosting my book events. Their 2016 signing for "Out of the Wreck I Rise" was a huge success, and I'm expecting this appearance to be just as fun.
Jan. 29, 2023: Congregation B'Nai Tikvah, 1558 Wilmot Rd., Deerfield. 10 a.m. "Breakfast with Neil Steinberg." A conversation about Chicago and the book with my longtime colleague and friend, media critic Robert Feder. Bagel and lox are free, but the book you have to pay for.
