Sunday Puzzler No. 2

Last week's puzzler was too easy. This one is still kinda easy, but has a certain elegance to it that makes up for the fact. Since the Saturday Fun Activity displays a photograph and asks for a location, in today's Puzzler I offer a location, in the form of this riddle, and to answer correctly you have to name a location (I 'd prefer you post a photograph, but I don't think that can be done in comments, at least nobody ever has).

As a prize ... hmmm ... tired of coffee, tired of my poster. How about a copy of my 2012 memoir, "You Were Never In Chicago"? Signed. Unless you'd prefer coffee or a poster. One of the three, to the person who solves this less-easy-than-last-week-though-still-kinda-easy conundrum.

                                                 First the first dual integer
                                                 Second the number of seconds
Not in a day or an hour.
                                                 Third, A Cool Million
                                                 This place doth stand secure
                                                 amidst a falling world.

    1. 10 & 60 were easy enough. The Addison translation of Homer was a bit of a stretch for this unread and uneducated old man, but the "Third, a cool Million" still has me stumped.

    2. Decided to Google "A Cool Million" and got the title of a book wriiten by Nathaniel West.
      10+ 60 + West + Addison = Wrigley Field.
Wow! Not bad for an 8th grade education!

    3. Exactly! Well done. I thought it was fun. I have your address already, yes, from past winnings?

    4. Yes. I've finally won some of that "Fine Bridgeport Coffee."
Thanks Neil. I'll enjoy it while rereading You Were Never in Chicago sitting underneath my EVERYGODDAMNDAY poster.
I'm no Dale, but I am feeling pretty smug right now.
      It'll pass soon enough....

    5. Not to take away from the "elegance," but this SOX fan only knew the address of Wrigley Field from a scene from the Blues Brothers. Mandatory watching for anyone who lived in the South Chicago neighborhood in the 70's and 80's.
The Curl Up and Dye hair salon. The church where James Brown moved the congregation to acrobatics. The 95th St bridge.
Still a forgotten area of the city. Where Industry once met Prairie.

    6. Glad you find it worth your while. Just to be clear ... you want the book? Or the coffee? Or the poster?

  6. Just for info, that photo of the question marks is at Devon & Lakewood & has been covering the windows of those two, unrented stores for at least two years.

    1. I've used it before, but I thought it fit this contest. I used to never repeat pictures, but now, if something is appropriate, I doubt many people are going to say, "Heyyy, wait a minute! I saw that picture 15 months ago!"
